I've been meaning to post this for awhile . . . I wanted to send it out there to give some of you hope . . . I had my son early at 34 weeks in Feb. 09, due to preeclampsia. It started with induction and ended in an emergency Csection. He spent 15 days in the NICU and has been very heatlhy ever since. Even though it wasn't that "bad", it wasn't an experience I ever wanted to repeat. So I was really nervous to have our second child.
However, we got pregnant again and this time, I carried our baby girl till 38 weeks (no GD, no bedrest, no swelling), where I went into labor on my own at midnight and delivered her vaginally by 3:45 that afternoon. We spent two nights in the hospital (and she stayed IN MY ROOM I wasn't sure what to do!) and then came right home. She started off nursing great (instead of having to be transitioned from the bottle using nipple shields and pumping), and I didn't have any breast issues (no clogged ducts or cracked nipples!). Sh |
