I have been married for 4 years and have a DS who is 2, I am also expecting our little girl! My DH doesn't speak to his family really, and my FOO are some of the nicest, non BSC people you will ever meet. All of my family have been very respectful of mine and DH's boundaries and don't interfer at all with our raising of DS2. They are very excited for the birth of our baby girl, but are again, totally respectful, of the rules and boundaries we have put in place for the birth and visitors. All in all, I am one of the lucky ones who has a pretty cool family. I am one of 10 siblings and we have all been a close knit group over the years even as some of us have married and started families of our own. We( my brothers and sisters and I) all understand that we each have our own lives now though, but make sure to always keep in contact and communicate with one another. I never thought I would be one of those people who don't speak to one of her siblings, |
