Fortnum Mason continues to market foie gras, despite calls from animal rights groups to accept controversial product from the shelves.
The upmarket store in Piccadilly states that it will not be bullied into stopping the sale of the product since it has been eaten for years and years, and claims those opposing it just represent one per cent of the population.
An offer, led by former 007 actor Sir Roger Moore and animal welfare group People for that Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta), has accused the retailer of selling inside a tin based on the Daily Telegraph.
